The key role of the personal on-line tutor is:

To manage individual learner progress through designated modules/units of learning according to the Student Assessment and Study Guide (SAS) under the supervision of the Curriculum Leader.

The 6 key pillars underpinning the role are to:

  1. Utilise the NCG portfolio of learning materials to support learners in the provision of high quality and relevant subject knowledge tuition
  2. Set up and conduct key topic webinars through the NCG Video Conferencing Tool
  3. Provide proactive individual tutorial support and advice to learners and record progress in the Learner View tutorial system
  4. Respond to reasonable learner requests for advice, information and support according to the NCG Direct SLA
  5. Facilitate discussion boards and other collaborative learning interventions
  6. Grade and provide feedback to Learners on both formative and summative assessments
